Reading along with us in Job? Here’s today’s reading:
Job 39 (NIV)
1“Do you know when the mountain goats give birth?
Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn?
2 Do you count the months till they bear?
Do you know the time they give birth?…..Continue Reading

Such complexity and uniqueness in the animal kingdom. God put such care into every creation and it’s role within each ecosystem. Some animals like the donkey and the horse, He spoke about their strength and function. That comes from God, we are not training these animals to be strong in order to help us that is an inherent trait they get from God. Then there are animals like the ostrich, a big flightless bird with wings that may just be there for God’s entertainment. LOL This chapter is special in that God is discussing what He has made. It is also so overwhelming and humbling to think that just like nature and man, He created each of the countless animals on the earth and gave special thought and attention into every one!
I love the way God describes the intricacies of His creation and the things He has done to make certain species special. It just goes to show how far above us He is and therefore why He can be trusted in everything, because His power, glory and care surround us each and every day. And even as modern science thinks it has figured things out, they still find themselves scratching their heads about what they don’t understand. May they be humbled by that and come to faith in the One who has astounded them!
Job 39
Job 39
God expounds on the majesty of wild animals that live in His kingdom. They do not obey and cow tow to man, but live in the freedom and wisdom God gave them.
Job 39, 40
God’s wisdom is displayed in creation. Makes me think of Romans where it speaks of men being “without excuse” because Gods attributes are displayed in nature.
I do wonder why God designed some things the way He did…like the ostrich.
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,”
Romans 1:20 NKJV
