Worship in the Earthly Tabernacle
1 Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary. 2 A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lampstand and the table with its consecrated bread; this was called the Holy Place. 3Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,……Continue Reading

  1. It always amazes me how carefully God considers every detail in His work. Even the old covenant and system of purification and atonement for sins pointed to the eventual coming of His Son to be the final and perfect sacrifice, in the old covenant we see the forshadowing of the new. Blood was required then and blood is still required so the perfect lamb came to earth and was slain to do the work we could never do and no animal sacrifice could ever do. Now from heaven He provides His Holy Spirit power to help us, guide us, and direct us we need only to choose to believe and follow!

  2. What a perfect picture even the Old covenant gave of what was necessary to purify us from sin. Blood had to be spilt, a life had to be given. Yet it makes sense that the blood of animals couldn’t do a permanent work for humankind, yet how clear it should be to us and the Jews that Jesus came to be that perfect sacrifice. That He also had to die and shed His blood so our sin could be forgiven. But His sacrifice was far more substantive and effective because of Who He is and that He could be offered ultimately in heaven. And so He only had to die once and then leave it up to us to believe to have His work before God applied to us. To Him be glory forever and ever!!!

  3. Jesus offered himself unblemished to God, to cleanse our consciences from the shame of sin, so that we may be free to serve the living God without the burden of regret. Jesus knew that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, so he sacrificed himself to do away with sin once and for all. And all his people praise him because they are keepers of the promise that he will appear a second time, to bring all those who are waiting for him to his heavenly home!

  4. “Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus is the offering on the actual temple in heaven, NOT the earthly temple.
