How neat it is to consider that there is a tabernacle in heaven of which the one on earth is a copy. And that is why Moses was to be so precise as to how the tabernacle on earth was built. Jesus was presented in that heavenly tabernacle as the mediator of a far superior covenant that connects us to our great God. And yet this covenant is not only about a more secure and defined relationship with God, but it means He works within us to make us the kind of people He wants us to be. The law was weakened by the flesh, but as it is written on our hearts it is made powerful by the Spirit. And this covenant in Jesus’ blood is an everlasting covenant. How gracious our God is to establish such a thing with us.

The new covenant is more powerful than the old. It is written in our minds and it cuts to the heart in such a way that only the Holy Spirit can do. It allows everyone to be a child of God and we are called “His people.” We are forgiven, once and for all. He does not remember our sins so we can forget them too and move on doing our best to live our lives according to Gods purpose.
A new heart by the power of the Holy Spirit. Gives us the perspective of serving God is our greatest joy!!

The new covenant was not a tweaking or an update but rather something completely new! An amazing promise meant for ALL people to be forgiven. No external rules or requirements but rather the blood of Christ did the work and now the Holy Spirit will enter into us making this covenant brand new, making us brand new! Now it is about relationship, intimacy, and abiding in Christ and it is just overwhelming to think He wants that with me!
