Genesis 44 (ESV)

Then he commanded the steward of his house, “Fill the men’s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in the mouth of his sack, 2 and put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, with his money for the grain.” And he did as Joseph told him.

  1. Read both 43&44. After all the grain they brought bake was eaten in ch 43 was gone, then their father asked them to go back.. Poor Simeon… Left to hang for some time and not seeming to be a big concern of Jacob’s, but nice to see Judah step it up !

  2. I took a brief break from finishing the gospel of John tonight and instead read 1 Peter 1. My heart is overflowing with love for Him as I read these words, knowing that it is only by God’s mercy that I have been born again. How could I not lay down everything and live for Him?
