Ezekiel 46 (NIV)

1“ ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The gate of the inner court facing east is to be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day and on the day of the New Moon it is to be opened. 2 The prince is to enter from the outside through the portico of the gateway and stand by the gatepost. 1. The two things that stood out to me was first God’s attention to every detail. He ordained the flow of traffic in the temple. Knowing how many people would come through He took even that small detail into consideration.
Second the daily burnt offerings…the importance of everyday remembering God’s promises and trusting in His provisions was not a once a week thing like church can become for many of us but rather a daily affirmation and a daily recognition of who God is, what He has done, and what He continues to do and the work that we must do to dig deeper into that and become the people He wants us to be.

  2. It is interesting how the prince is mentioned so much in these chapters and it shows how important leadership is to God and how they are to set an example of sacrifice and worship and make sure they are not using their position to take advantage of people. This is especially significant because the leaders of the Jews had done just the opposite. The chapter also shows some of the things God put in place to be a consistent reminder of Him and how they were dependent on Him in every facet of life, especially for forgiveness. How important it is for us too to have consistent reminders of God’s presence with us and how dependent we are on Him..and how good He is…and how much he is worthy of our trust and obedience!

  3. Liked what you wrote Pastor. I amazed at all the things God is so specific with his instructions and really leaves nothing they can say they did not understand
