  1. Odd that these 7 tribes still had not settled in any land. Joshua literally needed to push them to settle somewhere.

  2. Although it is not given much attention, it is interesting to note that the Tent of meeting, after traveling for forty years, has a permanent location at Shiloh. And Joshua, being the good leader he is, always looks to clean up loose ends and do his best not to leave this life with unfinished business. He gives wise and clear instructions that will lead to the desired end as well as engenders participation and ownership of responsibility while maintaining accountability to himself. All wise aspects of leadership!

  3. Yeah, it is interesting to note that some people need to be pushed harder than others. God expects us to do our part and we sometimes fight against that.

3 So Joshua said to the Israelites: “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you?

  4. 8As the men started on their way to map out the land, Joshua instructed them, “Go and make a survey of the land and write a description of it. Then return to me, and I will cast lots for you here at Shiloh in the presence of the Lord

  5. Jacob calls the Israelites for dilly-dallying. “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you?”
