  1. The man, Jesus healed that was born blind from birth, was trying to tell the Pharisees that the man who healed him must be of God otherwise, how could he heal him but the Pharisees would not listen to him, how blind are they that will not see.

  2. The most powerful statement Jesus made. Before Abraham was. “I AM”. Not only saying he was around before Abraham. But he is and was the eternal God. All cults deny the deity of Jesus. This along with revelation ch 1, Look, he is coming with the clouds and ever I will see him, even though who pierced him and all the peoples of the Earth will mourn because of him, so shall it be amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega says the Lord God who is and who was and who is to come the Almighty!!

  3. Advent 2025 – Day 24

The pharisees time and time again display great knowledge of the laws, teachings, and religious customs yet they are ignorant to God Himself standing amongst them. As Christians we are not to just be educated and fluent in the scriptures and teachings but however truly understand and apply all that we learn. When we reflect on the birth of Jesus let us never forget that He is truly among us and not just a figure in history that we learn about. He was a baby born for sacrifice so that we may live now for Him and forever with Him!

  4. Advent Day 24
Jesus healed the man who was blind from birth and told the men who thought they could see, that they were the ones who were blind.

  5. The Pharisees must come up with some conclusion of who Jesus is as He says what He says and does what He does. He must have a demon if He is saying He can provide life and Abraham was happy to see Him. And yet Jesus is simply sharing what the Father has told Him to say and He is the great I AM. It is a bold statement that is blasphemous to the Jews and yet affirms what Jesus believes about Himself and He shows that He is who He claimed to be by what He did. Like healing a blind man. The Pharisees need to do something with that. First the problem is Jesus did it on the Sabbath. Then it was the man wasn’t really born blind. Next it is Jesus is a sinner so He mustn’t be able to do that. I love how the blind man confronts them. God doesn’t do great things through people who are sinners but through people who worship and obey Him. And so they just kick him out of the temple. The problem is they are blind and therefore cannot see who Jesus is and how all the things He does attests to all the things He says and so He is the Son of God, the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the World! And that knowledge makes for a very merry Christmas!

  6. When people experience Jesus, they do one of two things. They either close their eyes, give excuses, and are blind to the truth or they open their eyes, believe and accept the truth. Blindness and denial is represented in the Pharisees. “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” “We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.” To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out. Belief and acceptance is represented in the blind man who was healed. “If this man were not from God, he could do nothing. Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!” Then the man said, “Lord, I believe.” To this day, we can see this behavior in people who deny and believe. The deniers are defensive and irritated, and the believers are open to the truth and have joy.
