  1. Imagine the faith of this desperate woman who knew she just needed to touch His robe to be healed and yet those in Jesus’ own home town could not get past their own preconceived notions of who they thought Jesus was to see who He actually was! Faith is the key isn’t it and you either have it or you don’t! There is no “kinda faith” or “touch of faith” you either acknnowledge and believe Jesus was the Son of God came to save you or you don’t. You see many people like those at Jairus’ home that laughed at the idea that Jesus could raise the dead. They put Jesus in a box, a nice idea, something to make us act better but that is not faith. Faith is confidence to know He can move mountains , raise the dead, and save the likes of me!

  2. Jesus surrounded by a huge crowd many curious people about who Jesus was and what he’s about to do, but great faith and you will get Jesus’ attention. He is surrounded by people and large crowds, a little curious but there isn’t any faith. Jesus overcomes death for a 12 year-old girl. Whatever we got going on in this life, whatever trials we face, we are called to have faith and hope in the One who has power over life and death!

  3. I love this account which so clearly shows the power of faith and how that it is the thing that connects us to God’s grace and power. It is also gives us insight into how Jesus healed at times. His power left Him to provide the healing and He could tell the difference. It gives further testimony to the absolute greatness of His being and how privileged we are to be associated with Him. And if you don’t have faith, then you can touch Jesus, talk about Jesus and it does nothing for you. And then to move from that to not only Jesus raising this girl to life but also the assurance he gives to her father and the statement He makes to the mourners. And how sad it is to move from these powerful and affirming events to be with those who Jesus knows and those who know Him better and be marginalized and have your legitimacy questioned. But sometimes familiarity is a bad thing, when it should be a good thing.

  4. Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1. It is strong belief and trust in the Father. Faith heals, saves, and gives us the power to do all things. It is the foundation on which we live, and it enables us to do great things for God’s glory. For Jesus said,“Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

  5. The healing of the woman who touches Jesus’ clothes I think emphasizes the part of man’s will in relation to God. She has faith in Jesus’ power to heal her apart from Jesus’ acknowledgement of her. In other healings Jesus confronts the person directly, or vis versa, but in this case, the healing takes place purely as a result of the woman’s faith. Jesus realizes power has gone out of Him! It’s like she stole it! She confesses and Jesus confirms that her faith made her well and that all is well between them.
