  1. Worry….such an issue these days. We are all trying to control things that we can’t The more distant this world gets from God the less trust that exists within in it. If we can’t trust, we will worry. You do not trust someone you do not know, I have never sent my kids to a stranger to babysit or went to a doctor without some kind of referral. We build relationships and then we trust. Instead we preach self care, independence and taking care of our self first and then wonder why we are so anxious. God never intended for us to do life alone. He is always with us and He gave us earthly relationships as well. We spend so much time judging each other, comparing ourselves to each other, and trying to do everything ourselves and we miss the point, trust! We must trust God first, He has a plan and a purpose for us, follow that and obey His commands, and the rest takes care of itself.

  2. With God so good, we really have nothing to worry about as we follow His plan. In the same way He takes care of nature, He will take care of care of us. And what wise instruction there is to not judge others and to look far more of what you have done to affect a matter rather than pointing the finger at someone else. But w also shouldn’t trust everyone but we will be ale to tell what kind of people they are based on the fruit that they bear. But we can certainly trust God to do what is best for us and He even welcomes us to come to Him and ask and then believe that He hears and He will answer. And how wise we are to follow the things that Jesus teaches and how foolish not to put it into practice. We can know that Jesus will not steer us wrong and His power is great enough to heal someone from a distance and rase someone from the dead.

  3. Worry. The answer to worry is given in Matthew 6:33. Put God first and everything else in your life will fall into place. We have a lot of things in this life that’s competing for first place in our minds in our hearts. I’ve had the blessings of running a family business for 45 years of business that was started in 1905. i’ve seen so many businesses come and go, but God continues to bless this small business. that I just have to show up every morning and he takes care of all the details for 120 years . It’s the same thing with our lives just put God first, and he’ll take care of all the details in our lives. verse 34 to plan for tomorrow is time well spent but to worry about tomorrow is time wasted. Judging others in chapter 7 of Matthew is just a way of tearing other people down so we can feel better about ourselves. Keep on asking keep on seeking keep on knocking and the door will be open to you. Continue to ask God for more knowledge, wisdom, and understanding and he will give them to you. I’m struggling today as a one year-old baby in our family was taken from us yesterday and I’ve been questioning why God wouldn’t heal that baby, but God will give me wisdom and understanding. My least favorite part of scripture is the narrow gate and the wide gate. I so wish it was the other way around, but it’s man’s choice as Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.

  4. Don’t worry. Instead, be occupied with a desire for God’s kingdom and doing what he wants you to do, knowing he will give you all the things you need. Do not judge others. Only God knows what is going on other people’s lives and why they do the things they do. So, work on ridding yourself of those things that hinder you from doing what is right. Ask, search, and knock at the door, with a strong belief that the Lord will answer you. When you are trying to discern if a person is telling you what is true, look at what they are doing. If their words and actions go against the truth of God, keep your distance from them. Gravitate toward those individuals who teach what is right and who will support, encourage and correct you.

  5. When we did our “mind study” I made a large mind map of the things I was worried about and verses about worry, fear, etc. I have to say it did work to rewire my brain from going to thoughts of worry to instead going to truths of scripture….there are so many verses about not worrying, about fear, anxiety, and encouragement of how to think instead. It all started with a scripture from VBS they gave the kids to memorize which I also memorized. John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you, not as the world gives give I to you, let not your heart be troubled nor let it be afraid.”
