Haman Impaled
1 So the king and Haman went to Queen Esther’s banquet, 2 and as they were drinking wine on the second day, the king again asked, “Queen Esther, what is your petition? It will be given you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted.”

  1. Haman ends up impaled on his own pole. A fitting ending for such deception and evil plot to kill and destroy innocent people. Haman’s anger led him down a road to his own destruction reminding us how important it is not to let our anger get the better of us. Sad really that even in his place of honor and all the blessings he did have, Haman still was not satisfied, but that is what Satan wants. Satan’s desire is to see us always striving for more, more, more and never finding contentment in the everyday blessings of God. He will use our own “feelings” against us knowing when they get the better of us we stop hearing the truth of God and make poor decisions like Haman.

  2. Esther 7 Esther was so brave that she risked her life to save her people. Haman received the fate that he planned for Mordecai.

  3. Ester is courageous, wise and straight forward here: courageous in making the request and identifying herself as a Jew, wise in stringing the king along so he wants to fulfill her request even more, and straightforward in pointing out Haman as the culprit. All things we should reflect in our sharing our life in Jesus. I couldn’t help but think of how far Haman’s jaw dropped when Ester reveals his plot. And the tables turn on him…the proud man that could not see what was coming…

  4. Esther 7 Esther prayed to God and trusted him, she was courageous before the King. Her faith was rewarded with the death of Haman, and saving her people.
