How wonderful to see a righteous king follow an unrighteous one and go to work on cleaning house of all the wrong things done in the temple and setting things right. I couldn’t help but thinking of the joy the priests and levites felt to reestablish right worship when so much wrong worship had gone on with Ahaz. And it was right for Hezekiah to make his intent clear early in his reign that he planned to bring things in line and called the levites and priests together to hear the news and to direct them. And they followed the directions and the sacrifices made are documented to show that things directed had come to fruition and the people responded to it!
Things could be done in service to God if His people just focused on it..

Nice to read of a king that wants to follow God and lead the people to do the same. Makes you appreciation good, faithful leadership that brings people to better place through their example and instruction.
