2 Corinthians 11 (NIV)

Paul and the False Apostles
1 I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! 2 I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. 3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.……Continue Reading

  1. 2 Corinthians 11
It seems he is accusing them of accepting people that preach the word of God but are actually the devil. We need to listen to what they are selling and should recognize a different spirit or untruths in the gospel. Paul says we are

    1. 2 Corinthians 11
Did not finish. There are many pretending to be apostles of God. God knew Paul was telling the truth of Christ.
Paul said he would get rid of the false apostles deceitful workers acting like. Since we all know satan rules the earth masquerading as an angel there are many of his followers pretending to be children of God when sent by Satan to deceive us. We see this in the world today all the time. We need to be aware of this. It seems these individuals know the bible inside and out so it’s even harder today to recognize evil. It makes it more necessary to be in the word every day and knowing God’s truth. We must start our day with praising and thanking God then putting on the armor of God to face the day.

  2. Pauls concern for the Corinthian people goes so deep in this chapter, explaining to them the deception that some of them are under as Satan shows himself as an angel of light. Certainly rampant in our world today. Breaks my heart to see churches that used to hold fast to the gospel now waving rainbow flags and inviting anyone to come, have their ears tickled with empty words. Words can’t express how we have to Holy Spirit inside us, guiding us into truth and we have a church that stands on that truth and will not sway by any pressure from anyone or anywhere. Paul’s concern is so deep that he pours out his credentials and all that he has been through for the case of Christ, something that no false teaches would go through for the sake of others. To read this list is so sobering. That God would allow and that Paul would receive and get up every time and praise God

  3. Paul is a good reminder that “it can always be worse”. When we think life is hard we can stop and reflect on all Paul endured during his Christian journey. Certainly he started out doing his own persecution of Christians and learned the hard way what that feels like, but his faith endured through it all. He was still able to worry about others and worked so hard to restore their faith and show them a better way with God. Many would run away from this life after experiencing what he had but instead he counted it all as part of his resume as a Christ follower and showed us that WITH Christ, we can endure more than we ever felt possible.

  4. We know people by observing what they do, not what they say. Beware of those who talk the talk, but do not walk the walk. And when we admit our weaknesses and limitations relying on his wisdom and truth, studying it, practicing it, and sharing our experiences with others to encourage them, we become the people God intended us to be. Therefore, let us be humble, accept our weaknesses, and rely on the strength and power of God to do amazing things; those actions that are right and good and true.

  5. All good comments everyone. Glad to see how much we are all growing in the Lord by studying His word. And from there to apply it to our lives. We all need His wisdom in our daily lives. And when we hear something that sounds like error, we should check it by scripture to see if it is true or false. Scripture answers scripture the best. We know that if something doesn`t line up with scripture, it is false. And of course, God gives us the Holy Spirit to help us guide through it all. Ask God, always for His wisdom.
