Solomon’s Officials and Governors
1 So King Solomon ruled over all Israel. 2And these were his chief officials:

  1. Certainly life was good under Solomon’s reign as king. It was obvious there were many people in his charge and his kingdom and military were vast! He certainly could eat too (maybe erring on the side of gluttony lol) and provided for those in his care. God does bless those who seek Him, God does provide for those who follow Him and that is evident here. It is a good reminder to see that when blessed we should share of that blessing, we should use not only our resources but our time and talents to help others always giving back what God freely gave us!

  2. With all of Solomon‘s wisdom still with all these wives and concubines how did he not know this would lead to his ruin . Though a wise king. Still only a man with sinful desires not perfect and not able to keep all the statutes of God by having all these women of different cultures, worshiping false gods, Solomon was influenced by them, and allowed that to come between his relationship with the one true God.

    1. I wondered the same thing Rich. With all that wisdom was it too close for him to see his own potential downfall when it comes to women. I guess it was very similar to David, for as close a relationship he had with God his desire for women still clouded his judgement.

  3. ”And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.“
    ‭‭I Kings‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Solomon had it good and God blessed those around him.

  4. The statement about Solomons wisdom made me think of people with “natural” talent, either in intelligence or art or music or physical ability. Wish that recognition were given to God. Some of the gifts of men (or women) are beyond comprehension and I think sometimes they don’t even know how they have this ability.
