[Jesus] called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:2-4

Children are such an important part of the body of Christ. After all, they are the future of the Church. That is why we have many opportunities for children to learn about Jesus and for families with children to get together for fellowship, ministry and fun!

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16

One of our most fruitful ministries to children is our Sunday School Ministry.

LHCC offers Sunday School for children ages 3 thru 11 years old. Sunday School begins when the children are dismissed from the service by Pastor Peter and continues until the end of service.

The age groups offered are 3 years old – Kindergarten, 1st to 3rd grade, and 4th to 5th grade. The children are taught by trained adult teachers along with adult helpers under the direction of Kelly Holdridge & Karen Atkin. Each lesson is filled with God’s word, music, crafts, games and snacks. It is a wonderful time of learning about the Bible while enjoying the fellowship of other children.

Please feel free to contact Kelly Holdridge if you have any questions, or if God is leading you to become a Teacher/Helper.

Trail Life for Boys

This program is for boys ages 5 to 17.

In the Outdoors, the boys are engaged in real-world challenge and they experience camping, hiking, and fishing; they develop skills in riflery, archery, and canoeing; and learn character and leadership in a practical hands-on manner that is naturally engaging. When indoors, the boys find mentors, fathers and sons connect, important relationships are fostered, and boys find opportunity to achieve significant accomplishment.
