  1. We should always present our best before God. Just like the rules of unacceptable sacrifices, we are living sacrifiecs and we should come to God with a clean heart, Jesus was the perfect sacrifice and the standard set and while we can never live up to Jesus it gives us an example of how we should live and act. We shouldn’t come to God just because we want something, we shouldn’t expect praise for the good we do but rather He be glorified, and we should come to God for repentance when we know we are and plan to continue in a sinful path.
And why do we give Him our best, because He is the Lord our God! He is the One that has done great things. He is the One that created us. He is the Almighty!

  2. Because God is holy, those coming before him and the sacrifices they bring must be holy too. And just like us as believers, that holiness should permeate all aspects of life. Here God clarifies just what those standards of conduct should be for the priest and his family.

  3. “you must present a male without defect from the cattle, sheep or goats in order that it may be accepted on your behalf. Do not bring anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf. ” Praise God that Jesus came to us as the perfect sacrifice who cleansed us from our sin once and for all – present, past and future. Hebrews 7:27 – Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He (Jesus) sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.
