  1. These three parables are addressed to the Jewish leaders seeking to convict them about their rejection of Jesus and why it matters so much. They were the ones who said yes to God and then rejected John. They are the ones who will kill the Son of God to maintain control of their power and position. They even condemn themselves in their answer to what the owner will do to the farmers for killing his son, when they say the owner will kill them and give the land to other farmers. What a picture of the gospel going to the Gentiles. And they were the ones invited first to the wedding banquet, they were the chosen people, and yet they did not go and so God will invite others. But all who come will need to be clothed in Jesus’ righteousness, which only comes through faith in Him.

  2. Strong parables directed at the Pharisees. Nice and clean on the outside. Full of dead’s man’s bones. But when the servants told the people to come, they refused to listen they all went to do other things. One went to work in his field another went to his business. Some of the people even grabbed the servants beat them and killed them. Many people are invited, all who hear the gospel. but only a few are chosen. All those that accept

    1. Are you referring to Jesus’ comments or yours, Gordon? Otherwise it is great to have you joining us on here…

  3. The Jews rejected the Lord’s prophets and then they killed his Son. So God turned his back on them and gave his inheritance to the Gentiles. He will turn back to them in the end times when the 144,000 Jews preach the gospel. Israel repents, turns back to God and has faith in Jesus Christ.

  4. These pointed parables clearly cut to the quick of the Pharisees! Jesus used these stories to make them face the condition of their heart, their motivation. They were chosen by God but their power and position drove them to act rather than a desire to serve the one who chose them.
The second part of these parables is a reminder that God is for everyone. No one is too bad to come to Christ because Jesus made a way for them to be redeemed but you must choose to believe and walk with Him!

  5. Day 6 -5.8 when the king came in and saw the man who was not wearing the right clothes ,and has him thrown out. It’s like when Jesus says depart from me because I never knew you.
