Psalm 8 (ESV)

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

  1. Beautiful Psalm!
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,✨🌖

  2. God of wonders, beyond our galaxy
    You are holy, holy
    The universe declares Your majesty
    You are holy, holy…

To think that the holy God who created the heavens and the earth and all that are in them also created man in His image (Genesis 1:26-27; Isaiah 45:12)…and not only that, but He considers us and cares for us? And this same God loves us and wants a relationship with us (Ephesians 2:4-5)? And He wants us with Him forever and ever, in glory (John 3:16)?

  3. Awesome Psalm that exalts God as creator and the wonder of the place that He has given man in it. There is nothing good that is original with us. It all has its source in God. Which simply makes us stewards. SO the question becomes, what kind of steward are we?

That is what speaks to me in this Psalm…..
