In Judah God is known;
    his name is great in Israel.
His abode has been established in Salem,
    his dwelling place in Zion.
There he broke the flashing arrows,
    the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war...

  1. Psalm 76:7-10 MSG (portion only)
    “God stands tall and makes things right, he saves all the wretched on earth.”

  2. PSALM 76…….In this PSALM, IT IS evident that the power of God is to be feared. His word rings loudly from Heaven too all corners of the universe. We must make peace with our Lord and keep our promises to him, and live as a child of God should instinctively Live in this World, with the promise of eternal Bliss and joy and Happiness, seated at the feet of our God, Holy Father our Lord and Savior!

  3. The fear of the Lord comes up a few times in this Psalm. And it is right for us to fear God, to be in awe and honor Him and hold Him in the highest regard, to recognize all power is His and He will wield it to support HIs will, His name and His standards, when He sees fit. We will either embrace that or rebel against it. And as we do one or the other we will receive the commensurate result, blessing or wrath. But realistically, whose will should prevail on the earth, God’s or man’s? And as man pursues his own will and our hearts are corrupted by sin and pride and the victims lie in the wake of the selfishness. pride and evil, what would we expect God to do in light of that? Maybe give grace to the humble and make war against the proud? Yeah, that makes sense and is exactly what He does. Because if He had His way, He would shine light and bless in the way He has made evident in creation, but He can only do that in support of what He knows to be good.

  4. He is Holy Holy Holy

    7 But you, you are to be feared!
    Who can stand before you
    when once your anger is roused?
    8 From the heavens you uttered judgment;
    the earth feared and was still,
    9 when God arose to establish judgment,
    to save all the humble of the earth. Selah
    10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise you;
    the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.
    11 Make your vows to the Lord your God and perform them;
    let all around him bring gifts
    to him who is to be feared,
    12 who cuts off the spirit of princes,
    who is to be feared by the kings of the earth.
