Psalm 41 (ESV)

Blessed is the one who considers the poor!
    In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;
the Lord protects him and keeps him alive;
    he is called blessed in the land;
    you do not give him up to the will of his enemies.

  1. Blessed is the one who considers the poor!
    In the day of trouble the Lord delivers him;

    and set me in your presence forever.
    13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting!❤️

  2. As Mike Sylvia shared on Sunday, how hard it is when those we are close to hurt or betray us, which is exactly what is happening to David in this Psalm. Just imagine being sick and having people visit, learn of your weakness and then go out and broadcast to others, disparaging you. This is what David describes here. But where are we to turn in times like that? To the God who has mercy on us. And that is why David writes in the end and we agree, Praise be to the Lord the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. In other words it is only His opinion that matters!
