1Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler;
whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

  1. Again Proverbs is a reminder of basic good living choices. This chapter has several issues of work and being both honest and hard working and I love that verse 6 says that many of us think we are good and that can end up being our downfall. We need to acknowledge that we are all sinners and that it is only through God that we are forgiven.

  2. There’s just to much here you can comment on every verse. The first verse I had never seen before. Certainly wish I read that in the 70’s. Quarrelsome wife is like a dripping roof. Now that’s a good one. Why don’t we hear that from the pulpit on Sunday!!!!!!!

  3. Mark, I don’t see the verse on the quarrelsome wife here, so it must be prevalent in your mind…glad it is because you don’t have one…..now just how to fit that in or study of end times???

    There is a lot of practical wisdom in the Proverbs. How important integrity is in every area of life. How good when we can be trusted for what we say and do…regardless of the position we hold. And God and His word are naturally the best source of wisdom and we and others will be benefited when we follow it. And hopefully it is a comfort that the Lord searches the spirit of a man, and He searches out his inmost being….
