  1. This chapter and it’s 3 parables make me think of our journey following God. Be prepared….God gives us the essentials for how we should live in His Word and teachings. Act….God gives us each talents that He expects us to work in. Serve….God wants us to minister and love others in His name. That which we do for the least of our brethren we do for Him.

  2. Jesus ended chapter 24 talking about the wise servant who is found doing what he is supposed to do when the master arrives. It is clear that these three parables are intended to reenforce and expand on the point. The first shows we are to be prepared and that there will be a distinction between those who are those who aren’t and each has to be prepared on their own and not expect to lean on others preparation. The second shows the way we prepare and what our returning master would like to see. We are to multiply the gifts He has given us. The nature of His life is to grow and expand and He desires to see that fruit of multiplication in our lives. If we keep what He has given to ourselves, we really show that we don’t truly have His live in us/we really don’t know Him. And that is why that servant is cast out. The sheep and the goats shows us the types of things we should be endeavoring to do as we seek to multiply His life in us to others. It will include all types of people , but we need to make sure we don’t neglect the needy. Those are the ones who need to highlighted because we might have the tendency to ignore them. I wonder how many Christian ministries throughout history have used Jesus words here as a model, ministering to the hungry, thirsty, naked and imprisoned? I imagine many….and that expresses the heart of Jesus found here….
