  1. Deborah’s song is one of recognition to God for the victories they have seen. She reminds us that walking with God is the best way!

  2. Deborah and Balak sing a song recounting the battle in poetic verse. They herald their own bravery as well as the bravery of particular tribes while wondering why other tribes didn’t join them. They also highlight the work of Jael killing Sisera. They also recognize the hand of God that worked on their behalf as He had done in the past. The battle belongs to the Lord and the victory is His!

  3. Deborah and Barak recognize how God has saved them and praise Him. God is with us in so many ways that we don’t even recognize. Praise Him for guiding our steps!

  4. I found myself in my spare bedroom singing this song trying to get the tune…. Okay, not really but the song is a great testament of God, the tribes involved and Deborah and Jael.

  5. 31“So may all your enemies perish, Lord!
But may all who love you be like the sun
when it rises in its strength.”
Then the land had peace forty years.

  6. A memorial song of this battle.

Made me think of the National anthem, which is the story of the battle of Ft. McHenry when Francis Scott Key saw that the flag was still there…..”o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

    I pray for our nation.
