  1. Such amazing wealth God had bestowed on Solomon and His people. The Queen of Sheba seemed to be coming to dispel the reputation of Solomon’s wealth and wisdom and instead was actually surprised how much more than she had heard!

  2. Today I switched it up and dove into Chapters 1 and 2 of Proverbs. I can see that Solomon is projecting to the reader is motivation to cling to God, his wisdom and teachings.

“Yes, beg for knowledge; plead for insight. Look for it as hard as you would for silver or some hidden treasure. If you do, you will know what it means to fear the Lord and you will succeed in learning about God.”

  3. Well God did say because Solomon asked for a discerning heart and not wealth and power, that God would grant him those things as well. This chapter shows the abundant nature of it. Solomon’s wisdom was world renowned and many came to hear him and upon doing so provided more wealth for Solomon. Things were certainly firing on all cylinders for Solomon. All he had to do is not blow it, not let it go to his head or let his eyes and his heart wander. How important it is to stay true to the things of God when things are going well!

  4. 1 Kings 10 God blessed Solomon with a great abundant of wealth. People came to see this wealth they had heard about and Solomon blessed them with his wealth.
